(updated 12/3/2017)
The 5-Steps to becoming a Certified BYOP® Instructor
(local, state, national instructors & local, state and national trainers)
Step 1: Please take the time to review not only the "Official BYOP® Website" but also some of the other Certified Instructor's program websites (official template). Also, take the time to review our recent BLOG on ALL Volleyball Programs Are Not Equal for Ages 10 and Under! This website allows you the opportunity to see why Founder Ruth N. Nelson created this program.
Step 2: Please complete the below BYOP® Instructor Application (must have a current 2017 or 2018 application on file). To submit an application, there is a $150 US non-refundable application fee*. Please mail a check payable to brvc, LLC to the following address: brvc,LLC PO Box 702505 Dallas, Texas 75370. This is necessary in order to be considered for selection to the BYOP® Bring Your Own Parent Instructor Training & Certification Program (see application below). Step 3: Please complete the series of BYOP® Online Courses. The first course is BYOP® 101 with Art of Coaching (details listed on this link). www.theartofcoachingvolleyball.com/product/bring-your-own-parent-byop-101/ Once you receive your certificate of completion you will forward a PDF copy to info@brvc.com. Want to learn more about the online courses click here Step 4: Once our BYOP® Committee has received your application, application fee, copy of certificate of completion of BYOP® 101 course, a signed NDA, a follow-up Skype and/or phone interview will be arranged (updated 7/15/2017). You will also be required to take the BYOP® Home Training Program Series™ (HTPS) and BYOP® 201 & 301 coming in 2017-2018 and any other courses that are created related to BYOP® Certification requirements. Step 5: Once we review all of the items in Step 4 and interview is completed we will contact you if you have been selected. If selected, you will be invited to the Dallas Instructor Course July 2018 and/or another location (TBD) because space is limited for a certification course. The cost of the BYOP® Instructor Course will be provided during your follow-up and/or skype interview. This fee will cover the training, training materials, review of the 130+ page Instructor Guide, classroom and court rental and 1 parent/player kit depending on certification program (kit includes: 1 BYOP® player t-shirt & 1 BYOP® parent t-shirt, 1 Promotional DVD, 1 tote bag and 1 bag tag, etc.), website template creation with yearly updates along with Certified Instructor Promotional Bag. Completing the application does not confirm you have been accepted to our instructor certification program and/or a specific certification date/location, however the above steps begins the process for consideration for becoming a Certified BYOP® Instructor. The 3-year certification requires you to have a minimum number of NEW families per year (purchasing 1 kit per new family) to maintain your certification, as well as signing the BYOP® guidelines, yearly license fee and renewing each year to maintain your certification as well as maintaining your own BYOP® weebly website template. Returning families will receive a full 86 minute BYOP® DVD which each instructor purchases from brvc, LLC. and/or third party that has been issued a License for online sales. If you are energetic, enthusiastic, and willing to have patience and have FUN with elementary and youth ages 5-10, this program is for YOU!
